Design Philosophy

Named after the geological term "Strata," the design draws inspiration from the layered formations of natural rock. The elongated openings echo these layers while introducing rhythm, transparency and lightness to the structure.

Rather than hiding the supporting framework beneath a tabletop, the Strata Leg celebrates it—transforming a functional necessity into an architectural statement.

The Strata Table Leg was developed as the structural foundation for the Promise Land Collection, but its minimalist aesthetic allows it to complement a wide variety of tabletops including solid timber, stone, terrazzo and composite surfaces. Designed with versatility in mind, it enables designers, furniture makers and homeowners to create bespoke furniture while maintaining the signature Rand Tree Studios design language.
